Oracle and Ndevr Simplify Environmental Management Reporting and Integrate with ERP

Energy-intensive operations across the mining, construction and engineering industries have always carefully managed their Greenhouse Gas (GHG) and energy consumption figures. Previously, this was a very time-consuming and costly process that required downloading data and manipulating it in Excel. But now, Oracle and Ndevr have developed a GHG management and reporting module that is pre-integrated with Oracle's E-Business Suite and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne financials applications.

The integration of environmental management software and ERP tools is really important because it make collecting and analyzing enviro information easier. Not only that, this pre-integrated solution provides additional data capture, analysis and presentation capabilities that help organizations assess their current carbon footprint, comply with internal and external reporting standards and work on implementing more energy-efficient solutions.

Aside from GHG metrics and data, the new modules handle waste and water consumption tracking, and other metrics that are a core port of sustainability reporting standards published by the World Resources Institute and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

The Oracle and Ndevr integration throws away the notion that you need separate software applications for handling greenhouse gas emissions collection and other environmental reporting functions. By incorporating all this within existing infrastructure and business processes, the Oracle and Ndevr solution can provide significant cost, time-to-value and audit advantages versus custom or standalone GHG accounting solutions.
