Spend time defining the business processes you want to incorporate into your ERP system; then determine if process allowances made in the contract will accommodate your company’s workflow.

Also look at the support that is promised after go-live, the scope of work that the vendor will provide, and the time frame the vendor has proposed. Finally, look closely at the terms of confidentiality regarding your data, as well as the penalty to be imposed should the vendor break the terms set forth by the contract.
