December 02, 2008

Indianapolis, December 2, 2008 - Consona Corporation (Consona), a leading provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and customer relationship management (CRM) software and services for the companies of all sizes, today announced that Consona ERPsolutions (Made2Manage® ERP, Intuitive™ ERP and Encompix® ERP) now integrate with SolidWorks® 2008 3D CAD software, delivering new capabilities that will optimize production and efficiency by allowing real-time access to integrated business and production information between the systems.

SolidWorks 2008 delivers a host of unique features to help companies design better products more quickly. The software includes more than 250 customer-requested enhancements and significant innovations that break new ground in engineering efficiency. According to SolidWorks Director of Marketing and Alliances, Efrat Ravid, “SolidWorks 2008 provides a new intuitive, time-saving user interface (UI) as well as impressive 3D graphics, builds on the company’s breakthrough SolidWorks Intelligent Feature Technology (SWIFT), accelerates better product design, and includes more advanced design analysis capabilities than any other CAD software.”

Designers and engineers will use the Consona ERP solutions together with SolidWorks software to align information between the business and design sectors, eliminating hours of duplicate data entry and preventing production disruptions caused by revision discrepancies through up-to-the-minute synchronization and full system integration. Changes between revisions are also easily and quickly identifiable. New features include the ability to:

Search the ERP database for existing item IDs and access ERP item cards.

- Create and edit new item records and bills of material (BOMs) within the ERP solution directly from SolidWorks.

- View item and BOM discrepancies between SolidWorks and Consona ERP solutions.

- Synchronize BOMs in real time, while maintaining complete history and revisions control.

- Update BOMs after parametrically changing the SolidWorks model.

A SolidWorks Solution Partner Product, Consona ERP solutions allow users to enter important business information such as orders, BOMs, or item information in the most relevant system. Users can trust that it will reflect accurately and in a timely manner across the partnering system, enabling an organization to make more informed business decisions.SolidWorks 2008 expands on the software’s legacy of ease of use, design power, and affordability by allowing design teams to spend more time on innovation and less on CAD software operations, ultimately making their companies more successful.

“Engineers don’t have time to worry about software complexity or the potential problems of jumping between separate applications,” saidRavid. “Combining Consona’s rich ERP capabilities with SolidWorks’ 3D CAD design enable engineers to focus on innovation, quality and efficiency instead of how to use software.”

“This partnership highlights Consona’s commitment to delivering best-in-class ERP solutions to manufacturers that want to streamline business processes and integrate business-critical data with other facets of production,” said Scott Malia, general manager of Consona ERP. “We’re pleased to have this opportunity to bring this solution to our customers.”
