Microsoft Dynamics AX is a leader in the Magic Quadrant for ERP for Product-Centric Midmarket Companies, a research report published by Gartner Inc. This year’s report valued global enterprise resource planning (ERP) products specifically for companies with 100 to 999 employees, which also produce annual revenue between $50 million and $1 billion.

One company taking advantage of these possibilities is Online One Pty Ltd. This online applications provider released the oneScan iPad ERP application designed specifically for NetSuite.

Oracle is still going strong on the acquisition front. The ERP Giant will be adding Secerno to its list of recent acquisitions. Secerno is a UK-based provider of firewall solutions that protect against hackers and cyber attacks.

The Oracle-Secerno acquisition price has not been disclosed, but the transaction is set to close next month. The Secerno acquisition is part of Oracle's plan to fuel growth in specific ERP industries.

SAP's on-demand enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite Business ByDesign is not an urban legend. At the recent Sapphire conference, SAP CEO, Jim Hagemann Snabe, announced that the company would be making the highly sought after product more broadly available. The ERP suite will be ready to hit the cloud in July for German, US, UK, French, Chinese and Indian Markets.
